Phil Green

Phil helps build strategies and materials which raise the performance of individuals, groups and organisations. He has a special interest in flexible modular learning and performance aids, with skills in performance analysis through outline design to implementation. His mission is to support business improvement; his portfolio includes a succession of outstanding interventions A background in the Psychology and Management of Learning and 26 years experience have given him a deep understanding of what works and what doesn't when your aim is to improve the performance, profit and marketability of people at all levels within an organisation.

He uses his breadth of experience, empathy and great sense of fun to coach new and experienced entrants to the field of training and instructional design. He has co-designed and tutors a recognised qualification in Blended Learning.

He presents papers in the UK and abroad, and designs and runs regular workshops and seminars. He has been a regular track chair at the annual Learning Technologies Conference for several years, and is previous past Chairman of the eLearning Network. In 2006 he was recognised in the USA by the publisher Pfeiffer as a "World Class Trainer." A prolific writer, his numerous blog items and published articles about online learning are well-read and highly respected. He is co-author of several eBooks, has one book in preparation for Gower and Phil wrote a chapter for the book Reiser, R. A., & Dempsey, J. V. (Eds). (in press). Trends and issues in instructional design and technology (3rd ed.).  Boston, MA: Pearson Education. His "Train The Trainer" series, a Training Journal pullout, is still in demand after 10 years.
